MOSSA | Micellar Water 200ml
It was quite recently that I started to familiarize myself with the two-step cleaning and the use of micellar waters. I’ve tested a few but found it difficult to find a natural product that would suit sensitive skin, because many natural micellar waters contain flower water and possibly other aromatic ingredients.
MOSSA’s micellar water is no exception to this rule but still feels surprisingly gentle and more moisturizing than the others I’ve tested. It has a very subtle scent that could even work on the most sensitive skin. The base is water and rose water, and also contains raspberry extract, lactic acid and hyaluronic acid for hydration. Skin is left fresh and without any uncomfortable sticky sensation.
It’s good at dissolving makeup and sunscreen, for more power and gentleness around the eyes, I usually mix a few drops of jojoba oil, which always seems to take care of the rest.
I usually normally run an extra wash with a gel cleanser if I had a lot on the face, as I think you certainly shouldn’t expect your makeup remover to remove everything (but also to save on some cotton pads). But the few times I skipped the extra wash and went straight to moisturize my skin felt good.
With daily use, I have seen a decrease of dirt-related blemishes from left-over makeup and sunscreen that didn’t properly wash off with just a foaming cleanser. My only wish would be that this would be completely fragrance-free, but I find it still to be mild to the point that my skin is not disturbed, and so this micellar water has quickly become a new favorite of mine!
MOSSA | Cleansing Creme Mousse 200ml
Besides the micellar water, MOSSA offers a facial cleanser in a handy pump-dispenser. This is a so-called cream-mousse with AHA’s from white currants and lactic acid for a light and gentle exfoliation.
It has a fruity scent and feels much like a cream cleanser that gently foams. The skin is left clean but not tight, but I am not sure how it would be experienced by someone with dry skin.
Whether the AHA’s have time to work in a wash is up for discussion. But I like to combine this with my FOREO Luna for 1-2 minutes, which leaves the skin wonderfully soft and smooth!
This product does contain alcohol but isn’t something my skin has noticed upon.
MOSSA | Moisturising Antioxidant Day Cream 50ml
MOSSA has day and night creams for almost all skin types, what may be missing is a cream specifically for oily skin. But this cream with blueberry extract for Normal/Combination skin may as well serve well, as oily skin also needs moisture which can help balance sebum production.
This cream has a gentle fragrance, leaving skin soft and moisturized with a matte finish. I normally mix in a drop of oil in my day creams, but in this, it has not been necessary as it has felt quite moisturizing on its own. Although this is a day cream, I’ve also occasionally used it as a night cream, which has worked well for my normal skin.
I have not felt or seen that this cream has broken me out, but this is of course very individual. And big Kudos that all the creams come in a vacuum dispenser so that the content and its active ingredients last longer!
MOSSA | Skin Perfector BB Tinting Moisturiser 50ml
MOSSA’s BB cream is a bit more like a Tinted Moisturiser. It gives a very sheer coverage but that still manages to even out the skin tone. Worked easily into the skin with your fingers, and provides a matte feel and finish, but still gives the skin a subtle glow. For people with oily skin, this may be enough as a day cream, while for those with dry skin can probably find this a little too dull in feeling.
This cream comes only in one neutral shade “Soft Beige” but that blend in very well. I would say that it’s suitable for most people with a light to medium dark skin tone. It has a mild scent, which again, I think that they could skip entirely for this product. However, this is one of the surprisingly better natural Tinted Moisturizers I’ve tested!
I like to use it on the days I don’t want to use foundation but still even out skin tone and add luminosity – make the skin look simply better. Which this product absolutely does! Apart from the fragrance, its only downfall may be the absence of sun protection. It does contain titanium dioxide, so it does give some protection, however it doesn’t say how much. One shouldn’t probably rely on SPF from makeup, but it would’ve been a nice little bonus.
MOSSA | Peeling Mask
This exfoliating mask uses mild AHA’s in the form of lactic acid, and antioxidants from black elderberry extract and should be able to suit all skin types. It also contains glucomannan, which is abundant in fresh aloe vera which is said to accelerate wound healing but is also used as a thickener.
It will brighten up the skin tone, minimizes pores, reduces hyperpigmentation and as well as the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in as little as 5 minutes!
The product is squeezed out as a gel and contains small reflective glitter that remains after washing to give added luster. The mask can be on up to 15 minutes, small stinging may be felt on the extremely sensitive skin. After washing the skin feels smoother and brighter!
