Hey and welcome to Frivolous Girl!
– a Conscious Beauty and Wellness blog that shares thoughts on beauty products, health, and lifestyle hacks!
Who’s behind the blog?
My name is Isabel
– cat lover, beauty addict & a multi-passionate being.
I’m currently in my early 30’s and was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. I’ve always wanted to become a writer growing up and applied to study media communications and journalism in high school, However, I majored in graphic design and film instead. Shortly after finishing school I met my current life partner, fell in love, and left Stockholm for small-town living.
Blogging has been a passion since I was 14 years old. And this blog has existed with its current name since 2009. I’ve gone through many different topics but it wasn’t until fall of 2012 that I shifted my blogging to more professional style and beauty-related stuff.
In the midst of suffering from unexplainable fatigue and dizziness that year, my acne also flared up once again. Having gone through several disappointing rounds of antibiotics and accutane in my teens I began a quest to find a more natural and sustainable cure for acne. So I started to share my journey on what products and lifestyle changes I tried.
My blog today has become a mix of product reviews and articles on what has worked and what I’ve learned so far in terms of skincare and health. I’ve gone from writing about 3-step kits for acne to delving deep into green and organic beauty. I now take a more “sciency” approach to beauty, where I focus on what is good but also effective for skin health.
I’m a little bit scattered, hence the name “Frivolous” :)
But I hope you stay, subscribe and get the most out of this blog!
This blog is entirely run by myself and if you find my articles to give you value an easy way to support is to share my articles on Reddit and other forums, click and buy through affiliated product links, or buy me a coffee or two. It means a lot to me ❣
