After going through a trial & error period of trying to wash my hair with Dr Bronner’s, both the original and Shikakai soap, I caved in after two months of bad hair days, leaving out doing any review about it and started looking for other alternatives… I came across this brand called Kiss My Face in one of the bigger supermarkets around where I live, and after a quick look at the ingredient list, seeing they listed “Cocomidopropyl Betaine” pretty low, I took it to convince my boyfriend to buy it. He wrinkled his face when he saw the price, but I argued that other natural shampoos, like JM, were even more expensive and that this one was a good find!

*** It’s important to note that there’s two versions of the Kiss My Face Whenever Shampoo and conditioner! The one I’m reviewing and recommend is the one in the green bottle, not the white bottle. The white bottled one has a totally different ingredient list with foaming agents high up on the list!

Experience
I picked up the Whenever-series which is for everyday use for all hair types. The citrus scent goes for both of the shampoo and conditioner and is quite pleasant and not too strong I think.
As this shampoo has its foaming agent lower on the list of ingredients it doesn’t foam as much right away as conventional shampoos. It takes some time getting used to, and a few more pumps than usual to get it foaming – ’cause, when your hair’s clean, it will foam with ease.
The conditioner does a great job in softening and moisturizing your hair. Maybe nothing too out of the ordinary, but it did simplify the job for my tangle teezer, leaving my hair ultra smooth. And again I really liked the lemon scent, which felt clean and fresh.
Conclusion
I think you get a product that works really well with a impressive clean ingredient list. Even though you may need another extra 1-3 pumps to get your hair clean, it lasted me about 6 months. I would definitely buy it again, though unfortunately, as this review is being published, ICA Maxi in Birsta, where I bought it, are discontinuing products from Kiss My Face and natural hair care from Angel too. I guess in a world of Gliss and Head & Shoulder’s the price is a bit too steep, and while people here are very into organic food, they haven’t yet gone to see the importance clean beauty products just yet…
The Whenever Shampoo and Conditioner left my hair in great condition, and I never really felt like I had to wash it more often than usual, or left me with any icky/itchy residue. I was really content with this one.
The only problem with this one, is that it’s very hard to find even on the Internet. So when my grocery store decided to not take in more of this brand of hair care, I’m left to find a new brand to use. Which is just such a pity, just when I found something that worked!
