Nécessaire | The Hand Cream
Nécessaire is a brand that I’ve heard about but despite the hype haven’t been much on my radar as it hasn’t been that readily available for Swedes. However, through last year’s advent calendar I got my hands on their hand cream. Described as a fast-absorbing, barrier recovery cream for skin. Infused with skincare benefits such as peptides and niacinamide. While I was excited about the concept of a skincare-infused hand cream, my experience with it was kind of mixed…
I used this during the winter months when my hands needed extra nourishment. However, the hand cream did not quite hit the mark. Despite the inclusion of peptides and omegas, my boyfriend and I did not feel that it provided optimal hydration. It seemed that more cream didn’t necessarily equal more hydration either. But did make the skin of my hands feel somewhat soft. While I can’t speak of how much better it would’ve performed during summertime 🌞, my initial impression is that it didn’t feel like it did a better job compared to my $8 hand cream from the drugstore. And had no effect on dry cuticles.
On the bright side, I appreciate that this hand cream is fragrance-free. 🌸 As many do usually come fragranced. Not everyone enjoys scented products, so it’s a definite win for those seeking a neutral and non-overpowering option. So, kudos to Necessaire for making that choice! 👏
Although the hand cream by Nécessaire wasn’t hydrating enough for me, the positive aspect of this hand cream is its non-sticky formula. ✨This one absorbs quickly into the skin (maybe a bit too quickly though), leaving my hands feeling soft and supple without any unwanted tackiness. 💦 Because it’s not that hydrating it almost felt more like a moisturizer for the hands than an actual hand _cream_… If you know what I mean?
While the Necessaire Hand Cream didn’t deliver the level of hydration I expected during the colder months, it still has its redeeming qualities. The fragrance-free aspect, non-sticky, and well-aging formula with peptides are definite highlights that make it unique and worth considering! Especially if you’re on the lookout for a hand cream with additional benefits. 🤲💕 But at £20 I was expecting it to do more during a time when my hands needed it the most.
