As I’ve managed to switch some make up products to greener versions, a new lip product still remains. Via Mona’s blog La Vie Est Belle, I heard of the brand called Dizao Organics, that has a great selection of colored lip balms that to me was surprisingly pigmented, not to mention very price worthy. I won’t lie, their beautiful printed packaging had me sold in a heart beat! And if you’re on a tight budget or just starting on your green beauty journey and don’t want to spend too much on a new lipstick, then Dizao Organics is a great alternative.
Dizao Organics – Organic Lip Color Balms in Peony & Wild Poppy
★★★★★
I was a bit skeptic towards these, and the reason I’ve been a bit slow in replacing my lip products has mostly to do with that the majority of natural lip products is based on castor oil, that from my experience tends to dry out the lips with long term use, but I’ve been proven wrong before. Dizao offers a great selection of color and even lip balms without color that I’ve read only good things about, as to be the best lip balms on the market. With the great experience I’ve had with the colored lip balms, I have no doubt about the natural ones are to be just as good!
Peony 205
Cool Toned Sheer Matte Pink with Subtle Shimmer
Peony is my favorite flower, so I couldn’t resist picking this one up. I thought it could replace my Perfect Pink lip pencil from Make Up Store, but I think I went a bit heart over head here. Cool toned pinks doesn’t really suit my warm skin tone, unless I want a bit of a 60’s-make up look, I should really stay away from these kind of shades. I probably should’ve gone with the shade Light Coral that’s supposed to be more warm toned. Apart from my mistake, Peony is gorgeous, gives a lot of color and goes on smoothly.
Wild Poppy 222
Warm Toned Medium Coverage Matte Red
The Wild Poppy on the other hand is spot on the shade of my Russian Red lip pencil from Make Up Store, that I’ve also trying to find a replacement for. My lips are naturally pale, so I almost always dab a little color on to them. The Wild Poppy goes on buttery smooth, even more so than Peony, and leaves your lips feeling soft and perfectly stained. For now it’s been my go-to lipstick that I carry with me!
Conclusion
Though the peppermint smell can be a bit strong for my taste, it does go away quickly, and from what I’ve read from other reviews, not all lip balms does have the scent. They feel good on the lips and are so price worthy that I will definitely be getting more of these, Magnolia and Wild Rose are next on my list!
Pros +
+ What I love about these lip balms /slash/ lipsticks is that they go on smooth without the need to moisturize before hand! – Yay for dual properties! (But still, make sure your lips aren’t flaky!) + Both lip balms end up matte but feeling moisturizing. + Very pigmented for being lip balms. + Big selection of colors.
Cons –
– Throughout the day the color may be lost around the inner lips.
– Both colored lip balms has a peppermint smell to them, which I’m personally not fond of, I’d rather preferred it smelled neutral.

Dizao Organics – Anti Aging Fruit Acids Peeling Mask
★★★★☆
Apart from also making a mascara, Dizao has a great selection of face masks. I read up on some promising reviews, and as the face masks were on sale I thought I’d at least drop one while on the go.
Dizao’s face masks are a two-step process, which consists of a face mask cloth followed by a gel cream as an after treatment. All masks contain botanical collagen and botanical hyaluronic acid.
None of the masks are specifically for acne or problematic skin, but the Fruit Acid mask sounded most close to the effect I was looking after.
Stage 1
It’s been a while since I’ve used these kind of cloth masks, and this was the first time I’ve had one that extended down the neck, which I found to be very considerate. Even though I look at my neck and décolletage as an extended part of my face, I must admit that it gets about half the attention as my face gets.
You get a lot of fluid, so you can save it to use a second time. The mask should be on for 15min, and for best result Dizao recommends you to apply the mask daily for 12 days, then 1-2 a week for maintenance
Stage 2
The step two in this regime is a transparent gel-like fluid with subtle shimmers for a radiant finish – the camera didn’t do a good job in capturing the gel, so I’ve left it out.
It dries somewhat sticky and drying, I don’t know how to explain it, but I didn’t feel like it was enough for moisture and added my oils when it had absorbed completely. Here, you also get a lot of fluid that will last you about 5-7 applications.
Conclusion
The mask felt cooling and relaxing, but in my opinion the mask itself didn’t provide any immediate noticeable result. It actually didn’t feel like it did much at all after I washed it off? The thing that does the works and gives the most noticeable effect is the gel in the second step, with it’s extracts from Rosehip, Grape and even Persimmon! It’s to the point that I wish the fluid was sold separately.
I’ve been using the fluid, applying it at evening, for five days now and waking up to a gorgeous face that feels soft, calm and less red overall. I’ve also noticed great effect on minimizing scars and dark-spots!
Because you only need to apply a thin layer of the fluid, it has lasted me quite long, and I think I’ve got 2 or 3 days of fluid left to use.
Whenever I buy more lip balms, I’ll probably drop one sachet of mask with me, but I truly wish they were sold in a store near by for easier access.
