I had some samples sent to me from Swedish Beauty Factory on one of their new brands Kaé. And here’s my two months late review on the products I got.
L’eau de Kaé
• All Skin Types
A purifying micaller water, formulated without harsh alcohol. It’s supposed to be a 3-in-1 product: a face wash, a make-up remover and a toner. At the time there was a lot of hype over micellar waters, not to mention the most famous from Bioderma. I haven’t yet tested Bioderma, because I’m suspicious over the ingredient list where half of it doesn’t sound natural. Although, the one from Kae is nothing but fake. So I was very happy to test it on my skin without worrying too much.
I wanted to like it, but I ended up hoping there’s one out there that’s better. I have to give it credit for taking off make-up, including eye make-up, and the smell. But I can’t say I liked the feeling it left on my skin. And I got a little disappointed that it didn’t work great with my re-usable cotton pads.
In short, it didn’t convince me that you can get away with cleaning your face with only micellar water. No, a proper bathe in the evening is still necessary. Because I don’t wash/water my face in the morning I used it up in the mornings, but the tense and sticky feeling it left on my skin made it not so pleasurable, I could have easily mistaken fruit juice for the same thing. Which is to bad when it seemed to have all the right ingredients I look for in a cleanser: witch hazel, aloe vera and some kind of fruit extract.
Ingredients: Aqua (water)**, aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf extract*, glycerin**, pyrus malus (apple) fruit extract*, hamamelis virginia (WITCH HAZEL) water*, salvia officinalis (sage) water*, nuphar luteum (YELLOW WATER LILY) extract*, disodium cocoyl glutamate**, sodium hyaluronate**, parfum (fragrance)**, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, sodium cocoyl glutamate**, citric acid**, dehydroacetic acid, benzyl alcohol. *
Argan Oil L’Huile De Beaute
• All Skin Types
Pure Argan Oil.
I’ve never used high quality Argan oil before, I actually have used cheap Argan oil you’re supposed to use in salads hehe. Of course the more expensive ones has a better smell to it because they’re not mixed with oil from roasted almonds, but that was also the only difference I enjoyed more. But I have to say this oil was very nice and not too oily on my damaged combination skin. While the sample lasted I would only put this on my face in the morning and walk out.
But in the end, personally, it’s just another oil for me, it could’ve been the cheaper version.
Ingredients: Argania Spinosa Seed Oil.
Vitality Serum Argarome Jour Vitalite & Kaé Arganaissance Day Cream
• All Skin Types/Mature skin
These worked beautifully together. Seriously, it was such a joy waking up every morning and massaging these in. I first tested the serum and cream on its own, and then together, and I think I liked them better together.
Both these two and the night oil/cream are more designed for mature skin, but they made me realize I’ve probably done it all wrong. I’ve always bought face products for problematic or combination skin types, but now I’m really unsure what type of skin I have, ’cause my skin loved these products!
I felt a toning and moisturizing effect from these two, and it felt like they made my skin glow!

Argarôme Soir Fermeté & Anti-Age Night Balm
• Mature skin
The serum has a combination of three restructuring essential oils and of course the base is Argan oil. And the balm has a strong active anti-wrinkle ingredient Omegaplancton. The night cream has somewhat of a grainy texture which felt unusual, but it all melted into the skin and left it feeling plump. Exactly what I want in the evening.
These two worked just as amazing as the day-combo. I woke up to heavenly soft and hydrated skin.

I feel that after this I’m going to lean towards very moisturizing and balancing lotions instead of fixating on what’s right for problematic skin.
Many thanks to Swedish Beauty Factory!
